Should Nintendo List the ADR on a Real Exchange?

April 29th, 2008 · No Comments

i’ve been wondering if US shareholders of Nintendo (NTDOY.pk) should seek Nintendo management to list the company on a reputable exchange.
as a benefit to shareholders:

increased liquidity — being listed on the pink sheets means that many brokerage firms have limited access to the markets making it difficult to execute buy/sell orders. […]

Where’s the product your company sells on the adoption curve?

February 11th, 2008 · No Comments

Yesterday there was an interesting op/ed piece from W. Michael Cox and Richard Alm, both prominent members of the Federal Reserver Bank of Dallas.
The two economists were examining income flows for Americans and essentially making the claim that the income gap between the top earners and the lowest earners wasn’t indicative of the standard […]

before getting into it, a bit of a back story on me:
i’m a total coffee snob.
i use to work at a coffee shop called Late for the Train in flagstaff, az. i started working there shortly after coming back from germany […]

A quick glance at Nintendo’s management & the ‘energy’ of Nintendo

January 21st, 2008 · 1 Comment

was just curious if i saw anything popping up on the radar today because of the global market drop today, and after checking nintendo i came across this fun piece.
my favorite parts:When Yukan Fuji reportedly pointed out press coverage suggesting that the shortages that have historically plagued Wii supplies were strategy on the part of […]

Garmin Killed W/ Downgrade

January 9th, 2008 · No Comments

here’s the link.
the deutsche bank analyst Jonathan Goldberg said, “TomTom management came across as being more aggressive about their plans in the U.S. this year, causing us to question the pricing discipline displayed so far.”
i have to disagree completely with his conclusion.  as far as TomTom is concerned, they definitely need to be more aggressive […]

Etrade Claims $33 Billion in Assets, Increased Customer Retention

December 21st, 2007 · No Comments

well, we finally got something from etfc as way of guidance.
i’m not digging the nose dive in price and zero recovery on the release.  is it the subtle signal of “buying time” the company conveys by picking the latest reporting date possible, Jan 24th, that’s driving FUD in the stock?
there’s also mucho talk of HELCO […]

Proposed Flight Regulations from JFK May Help JBLU

December 19th, 2007 · No Comments

forbes brings us this one.
this is a good update to hear from other perspectives since i’d been reading “caps” to flight activity in and out of JFK as a bad sign for jblu, a company in the process of fairly rapid expansion.
from jblu themselves:
“We applaud the DOT and FAA’s actions to address congestion and enhance […]
